TAMPA, FL – Four people had to go to a hospital following an I-4 rollover collision Monday, WTSP reports. 

Tampa Fire Rescue issued a trauma alert for one person before taking them and the three others to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries and the events leading to the crash remain unclear. 

Florida Highway Patrol started an investigation and has not shared additional information at this time.

OLDSMAR, FL – At least one person was injured in a collision that took place before 12:45 p.m. in the Oldsmar area. 

Hillsborough County deputies are currently at the intersection of Race Track Road and Twin Branch Acres Road, working to find out the exact cause of the crash. At this time, they have not released the number of people and vehicles involved, or said if anyone would have to go to the hospital.

VENICE, FL – An 83-year-old man driving an SUV failed to yield the right of way to a trash truck and struck it, which led him to succumb to his injuries Tuesday. 

The collision happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Tempest Harbor Loop and River Road, FOX4Now reports.The driver of the trash truck was going south on River Road, and the 83-year-old man was east on Tempest Harbor Loop Road when the vehicles collided. 

EMS crews declared the elderly man dead at the scene and confirmed the truck driver, 56, was unharmed.

TAMPA, FL – A driver of a white Honda was intentionally running over four pedestrians, which led to a pursuit-turned-shooting, which ultimately claimed the driver’s life and injured several others Sunday. 

The events unfolded around 8:30 p.m. at a Dollar General Store located at 6508 South Dale Mabry Highway, BayNews9 reports. 

The male Honda driver, 47, was using his Honda to try and prevent one person, a man, from leaving. The two argued, and then that man left. After the argument, the 47-year-old man followed the man to some resident buildings near West Meadow Street and South MacDill Avenue. The 47-year-old man ran over the person, who sustained minor injuries.

BRADENTON, FL – A 77-year-old driving a sedan passed away after he crashed into a semi-truck head-on at the SR 70 and I-75 connector Saturday. 

The events unfolded after 9:30 a.m. when the man drifted off eastbound SR-70 and went into the semi-truck driver’s lane, MySunCoast said. Florida Highway Patrol said both drivers were approaching the I-95 South off-ramp when they collided. 

The crash’s impact claimed the life of the elderly man and left his passenger in critical condition.

GIBSONTON, FL – A 61-year-old man riding a bicycle lost his life after he was run over by a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 28-year-old woman from Riverview Saturday. 

The collision happened before 9 a.m. on U.S. Highway 41 North, south of Pennsylvania Avenue, ABC Action News said. 

Florida Highway Patrol said the 61-year-old man local top the area died at the scene while the driver was unharmed.

SARASOTA, FL – Two drivers sustained minor wounds in a multi-vehicle collision involving a school bus along TPC Prestancia Friday morning. 

This crash happened after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Beneva Road and Sarasota Square Boulevard, ABC Action News reports. Preliminary details reveal that the events unfolded when a Honda Civic and a Ford Escape crashed. The impact propelled the Honda to move forward and hit the bus as a result. 

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office did not specify which motorists were hurt. They did confirm, however, that the 15 students on the bus were spared from injuries.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 37-year-old man was taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in critical condition after he was struck by an impaired driver on Dali Boulevard SE Wednesday. 

Prior to the crash, the DUI motorist was speeding while driving a red minivan and lost control of his vehicle, ABC Action News said. The man merged into two bicycle lanes and struck a statue, a light pole, and the 37-year-old man. 

The St. Petersburg Police Department said the victim was taking down flags for a Grand Prix monument when he was struck.

ELLENTON, FL – A 78-year-old man passed away, and a 23-year-old man was taken to HCA Florida Blake Hospital following a left-turn collision Monday.

Bradenton Herald said the events unfolded before 6:45 a.m. when the elderly man tried to turn left from Colony Drive South onto U.S. 301 South and crashed his pickup truck into a Hyundai Sonata. Once the vehicles collided, the car was thrust into a grassy shoulder and the truck into a paved shoulder. Florida Highway Patrol said the pickup truck driver was traveling south and the car driver north at the time of the wreck. 

Troopers confirmed the 78-year-old man, an Ellenton local, did not wear a seatbelt but did not specify if the 23-year-old man, also from the area, wore a seatbelt as well. Nonetheless, the elderly man perished at the scene, and EMS crews took the surviving driver to the hospital.

TAMPA, FL – A 26-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital where she died after she crashed her SUV into an abandoned car along I-275 South Monday. 

FOX 13 News said the collision took place before 1 p.m. The woman had suddenly lost control of her automobile and collided with the Dodge Dart. The woman’s car overturned and eventually stopped on the outside shoulder, and the other vehicle, a Dodge Dart, stopped on the inside shoulder. 

Florida Highway Patrol said the victim was from Zephyrhills. At this time, they are working to pinpoint the events behind the fatal wreck and have no additional information.
