RIVERVIEW, FL – A driver of a semi-truck was spared from injuries when their truck, carrying eggs, caught on fire and overturned on I-75 Saturday.
According to ABC Action News, the truck caught on fire after the driver had pulled over onto the shoulder, which took place before 1 p.m. on the interstate’s southbound lanes near the Big Bend Road exit.
Within 30 minutes of arriving, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue extinguished the flames.
While the fire was cast out in less than an hour, crews still kept the area shut down to accommodate the scene clearance process. All lane closures were lifted by 7 p.m.
