News: Driver fatally hits 45-year-old man on bicycle in Bradenton 

BRADENTON, FL – A 23-year-old man driving a Chevy sedan unintentionally struck a 45-year-old man riding a bicycle, leading the cyclist to his death Monday. 

This collision occurred after 4:15 p.m. on northbound Cortez Road near 24th Street West, according to Fox 13 News. Upon arriving, first responders took the cyclist, a Bradenton resident, to Blake Medical Center, where he passed away. 

Florida Highway Patrol started an investigation and said no charges were filed against the driver, a Sarasota man. Since troopers are taking the lead on this investigation, they will not publicly announce the victim’s name.
