News: Boy, 12, airlifted to hospital following crash in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL – A 12-year-old riding a bicycle was airlifted to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg after he was struck by a car Tuesday. 

This collision occurred before 8:30 a.m. at Palmetto Street and Vine Avenue, ABCActionNews reports. 

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue said the child was set to receive treatment for serious wounds. 

Authorities said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, but did not say whether the motorist was injured or will face citations or charges.
