News: Boy, 17, hospitalized after downtown Tampa crash

DOWNTOWN TAMPA, FL – A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized after getting hit by a vehicle while walking on Cass Street Bridge in downtown Tampa Wednesday.

The teenager is recovering from serious injuries, according to ABC Action News. Tampa Police confirmed the Mercedes driver remained at the scene and exhibited no signs of impairment. 

The motorist was driving at the speed limit, police added. No criminal charges have been formally announced. 

An investigation is underway.
