TAMPA, FL – A three-year-old boy took his last bicycle ride after he was fatally struck by a driver of a Toyota RAV 4 pursuing a turn along the Place One Condominiums Thursday.

This crash happened at Pitch Pine Circle and North 56th Street, according to My SunCoast

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, who responded to the scene, said the boy’s mother and his siblings were behind him when the collision unfolded at the parking lot. When the bicycle and car collided, the toddler immediately succumbed to fatal wounds.

It appears the driver stayed at the scene. At this time, they are free from any charges or citations.

Deputies began an investigation and have not released any more details at this time.
