News: Man, 32, dies after Brooksville crash involving suspected impaired driver

BROOKSVILLE, FL – Authorities are investigating a wrong-way collision Wednesday morning in Brooksville that resulted in the death of a 44-year-old man, according to FOX 13 News.

The fatal crash took place on the northbound side of U.S. Route 41 at Sgt. Lea Mills Boulevard.

Investigators found that a 32-year-old man from Groveland was driving a Toyota Tacoma against traffic when the vehicle collided with a Dodge Ram traveling northbound.

Officials confirmed that a 44-year-old man from Brooksville succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Dodge Ram’s three other occupants sustained injuries determined to be non-life-threatening.

While an investigation remains open and ongoing, alcohol is believed to have played a role in the incident.
