News: Medical scare causes multi-auto crash, sending 1 to hospital

by

TAMPA, FL – A man driving a Ford F-150 suffered a medical emergency, which led him to crash into two vehicles and then a guardrail, sending him to the hospital later Monday.

This collision happened after 5:30 p.m. on the westbound lanes of Selmon Expressway, according to ABC Action News. Florida Highway Patrol said the pickup truck driver had struck a Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Armada, which were in front of him, prior to striking the guardrail.

The guardrail was significantly damaged. After the truck collided with a guardrail and the structural support of the upper deck, a tire of his blew out and then struck a Volkswagen Jetta.

The Volkswagen, Nissan, and Toyota drivers were all unharmed, while the pickup truck driver suffered serious wounds.

Troopers have not specified other details at this time.
