News: Motorcyclist dies in fiery rear-end crash with Jeep in Tampa

TAMPA, FL – A 33-year-old man riding a motorcycle hit the back of a Jeep Cherokee and then a barrier, leading his bike to catch fire and claiming his life Saturday. 

WFLA said this collision happened around 10:45 p.m. on West Gandy Boulevard. Florida Highway Patrol, who responded to the scene, declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene.  

The other driver was unharmed. 

Troopers launched an investigation. They believe the motorcyclist was speeding prior to this collision but have not provided additional commentary with respect to this collision at this time.
