News: Pickup vs semi. crash kills male driver in Lakeland

LAKELAND, FL – A 36-year-old Tampa man driving a pickup truck lost his life after he tried to overtake another vehicle by going into the opposite lane and hitting a semi head-on Saturday. 

This collision occurred after 3:15 a.m. as the pickup truck driver was going southbound on U.S. 98 while the semi-driver was traveling northbound on U.S. 98., according to ABC Action News

The semi-truck driver and the passenger with him were spared from injuries.
