TAMPA, FL – Authorities were dispatched to a collision involving a semi-truck Thursday afternoon on Interstate 275, north of downtown Tampa, according to FOX 13 News.
The wreck occurred on the northbound highway at the interchange to eastbound I-4. Tampa Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area at around 2:30 p.m.
While the events leading up to the crash have not been made public, photos taken at the scene indicate that the semi came to rest on top of an unspecified vehicle.
No information about the victims or their injuries are known at this time.
A section of northbound I-75 was shut down following the incident, but by the time of FOX 13’s report at 2:50 p.m., all lanes had been reopened to traffic.
