SARASOTA, FL – A BMW driver was said to have been speeding when he lost control of his car, causing the car to overturn and claiming the life of his passenger Saturday.
ABC Action News said the solo collision happened on the westbound lanes of Northagate Boulevard at 2:45 a.m. Once the car rolled over, it went over a curb and then hit a tree. The backseat passenger, a 21-year-old man from Bradenton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The front seat passenger and driver, also a 21-year-old man from Bradenton, was left with minor injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol launched an investigation.
