News UPDATE: Man, 22, killed in Gibsonton crash on U.S. 41

by

GIBSONTON, FL – Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that a 22-year-old man lost his life in a fatal wreck that happened at the U.S. 41 and Ohio Street junction Monday.

WFLA revealed the deadly collision happened when the 22-year-old man, operating a Chevrolet pickup truck, did not stop for a stopped school bus. Three pickup trucks were waiting for children to get off the bus, and because the 22-year-old man did not slow down, he collided with one pickup truck, which resulted in a domino effect collision.

The 22-year-old man, only identified as a Ruskin resident, succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene after his truck overturned.

One motorist was sent to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and two were able to leave the crash site unscathed.
