TAMPA, FL – As of Monday night, police confirmed that it was a 26-year-old woman, a mother of four children, who died in a Friday morning four-vehicle wreck in Terrace Park.
New details from ABC Action News show that the woman was 26-year-old Paige Howard. Updated information indicates that around 10:15 a.m., a driver of a Dodge Ram struck Howard on southbound McKinley Drive as she was making a left turn from East Bougainvillea Avenue, south of the University of Florida.
Once the driver of the Dodge (accompanied by a passenger) collided with Howard, a motorist of the third vehicle, a man (the only occupant) saw what unfolded and did their best to avoid this crash, drifting before crashing into a wooded area. Debris from the wreck had scattered onto the road and struck a fourth-moving vehicle.
Howard was declared dead at the scene, and EMS crews transported the man of the third vehicle and the Dodge Ram driver and passenger to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds. The fourth motorist was unscathed and not sent to a medical facility.
