BRANDON, FL – No one was injured in a collision that happened at the West Brandon Boulevard and North Moon Avenue junction Wednesday. 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was summoned to the scene before 3:15 p.m. It is not exactly clear what led to this collision and what kinds of vehicles and people were involved.

SARASOTA, FL – First responders took a child to a hospital after extricating them and an adult from their vehicle after it crashed in the Gulf Gate Estates suburb Sunday. 

This incident happened before 3 p.m. at the South Beneva Road and Meridale Road intersection, according to My SunCoast

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A Toyota Corolla and a Mazda sedan collided, resulting in one of them striking a man and woman, leading them to die from their injuries Saturday.

This fatal wreck happened before 2:30 p.m. at the 4th Street North and 72nd Avenue North junction in the Fossil Park district, WTSP indicated in a report. 

It is unclear which vehicle struck the man and woman, one of whom rode a bicycle.

TAMPA, FL – Wet road conditions led a driver of a Pasco County Fire Rescue ambulance to hydroplane on I-275 North and ram into a concrete wall Sunday. 

The single-vehicle collision happened before 4:45 p.m. north of Fletcher Avenue. Florida Highway Patrol told WFLA that the driver was transporting the two patients on board to a Hillsborough County hospital when the crash happened. 

The driver and patients were able to escape injuries despite significant damage done to the vehicle.

DOVER, FL – Florida Highway Patrol has blocked a left lane on I-4 West due to a vehicle fire reported after 5:11 p.m. Monday. 

Troopers arrived at the scene at 5:43 p.m. They are investigating the circumstances leading up to this crash and have not provided additional details at this time.

TAMPA, FL – An 86-year-old man walking his bicycle on U.S. Highway 41 passed away after he was struck by an SUV driver who fled the scene Saturday. 

This collision happened before 6:45 p.m. south of Honeycrisp Court, according to ABC Action News. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Officials did not describe the suspect’s SUV or reveal their appearance.

WIMAUMA, FL – A man operating a motorcycle struck a Florida Highway Patrol vehicle, leading him to suffer fatal injuries Saturday. 

ABC Action News said this crash happened after 10 p.m. in the area of U.S. 301 and Ayersworth Glen Boulevard when the motorcyclist struck the marked FHP patrol car. Prior to this collision, a Hillsborough County Deputy initiated a traffic stop. 

Officials declined to specify why the stop was pursued. They did say that they, along with paramedics, conducted CPR on the motorcyclist. They pursued their best efforts to save the man. Unfortunately, he passed away at the scene.

RIVERVIEW, FL – At least one person sustained injuries in a motor vehicle collision reported on U.S. 301 Highway South near Hackney Drive Friday. 

Hillsborough County deputies were just made aware of this collision and have not yet arrived at the scene.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A man who drove a stolen white Mustang now faces more charges after hitting a Florida Highway Patrol vehicle and then crashing head-on with an Uber vehicle, killing two people. 

The 22-year-old man, Leosvany Arias Roman, faces Grand Theft Motor Vehicle charges, two counts of Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement Officer with Deadly Weapon, felony murder, and vehicular homicide charges, along with others, FOX 13 News reported.  

To recap, this collision happened before 11 p.m. Wednesday on I-275 South. Roman had hit an FHP vehicle before fleeing the scene and then hitting a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office vehicle. New information reports that Roman also had an accomplice with him. The accomplice — 30-year-old Mohammed Ali Pujol — had intentionally tried to hit a deputy with his silver Mercedes sedan. Pujol will also face many felony charges.

TAMPA, FL – A Toyota Corolla passenger, a 41-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries after her driver turned left and crashed into a Mack dump truck Thursday. 

This crash, which was reported before 2 p.m., happened when the Corolla driver — a 19-year-old woman — was going north on Nebraska Avenue and then hit the truck driver going southbound on Nebraska Avenue along Sinclair Hills Road, ABC Action News revealed. 

It is unclear if the truck driver, a 46-year-old adult, and the 19-year-old woman were injured, while the 41-year-old woman was sent to a hospital where she later died.
