TAMPA, FL – A collision has cleared on the eastbound lanes of Courtney Campbell Causeway Wednesday. 

Despite the clearance, drivers are experiencing some heavy delays and are only able to get by using only one lane, according to WTSP

Motorists approaching the area can use the Howard Franklin Bridge or Gandy Bridge to avoid the traffic backup.

VENICE, FL – At least one person sustained injuries in a collision on the 9836 block of Hilltop Drive Wednesday afternoon. 

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene after 4:30 p.m. They are investigating the specifics of what led to this crash and have not specified the severity of injuries sustained or revealed the amount of occupants and vehicles involved.

BRADENTON, FL – A 29-year-old woman driving a sedan struck a 47-year-old crossing 15th Street East, leading him to succumb to fatal wounds Tuesday. 

The Bradenton Herald said this collision occurred after 6 a.m. south of 63rd Avenue East. The unidentified man, a Sarasota resident, was declared dead at the scene. 

The motorist was unharmed. Officials shut down 15th Street East to accommodate the investigation and clearance process.

SARASOTA, FL – A 58-year-old man was impaired when he crashed his pickup truck into a home near Phillippi Creek Levee Trail Sunday. 

This collision happened at the Bahia Vista Street and South Conrad Avenue junction, and officials were dispatched to the scene around 7:30 a.m., according to My Sun Coast News

The motorist, who was identified as Timothy Hunter, sustained non-life-threatening wounds and was sent to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

TAMPA, FL – Tampa Police revealed that at least one person sustained serious wounds in a collision on I-275 North Sunday, according to WFLA

This crash happened along northbound MLK Jr. Blvd and the southbound I-275 and Hillsborough Avenue junction. 

Florida Highway Patrol and police began an investigation but have not released other details at this time.

BRADENTON, FL – A pedestrian lost their life after getting struck by a vehicle along the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Building and G.T Bray Park Monday. 

This collision happened around 6:45 p.m. on the 3100 block of 59th Street West, according to ABC Action News

Officials said the driver remained but did not list any citations or pending charges.

 SARASOTA, FL – Sarasota Police were dispatched to a collision in the Rosemary District that led at least one person to sustain injuries Monday evening. 

This crash happened at the Boulevard of the Arts and North Tamiami Trail intersection, and police arrived at the scene before 5:15 p.m. 

The exact cause of this collision, the kind of people and vehicles involved, as well as the type of injuries sustained have not been revealed.

TAMPA, FL – A 19-year-old teenager stood outside his disabled car on an I-275 shoulder when he was struck by an alleged DUI driver, leading him to fall over a barrier wall. 

This collision happened on I-275 North near I-4 on Sunday. Florida Highway Patrol and the Tampa Police Department told WTSP that the driver, suspected of impairment, lost control of his Infiniti sedan during rainy conditions. The motorist, later identified as 23-year-old Dane Jones, struck the unidentified 19-year-old teenager and his car. 

After the teen went over the barrier wall, first responders rushed him to a hospital for treatment of serious wounds.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – At least one person sustained wounds in a collision reported in the Kenneth City area before 6:45 p.m. Friday. 

Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the 71st Street North, and 54th Avenue North junction at precisely 6:45 p.m. Troopers have blocked off the southbound lane, so drivers in the area may want to consider alternate routes, as they have provided no time estimate as to when the scene could clear. 

No developments were reported at this time.
