TAMPA, FL – At least one lane on the 3803rd block of North U.S. 301 is blocked following a hit-and-run collision Tuesday. 

Florida Highway Patrol is arriving at the scene and has not indicated a need yet for more lane closures, listed how many occupants and automobiles were affected, said if anyone was hurt, and has not released information on the suspect and their vehicle.

GIBSONTON, FL – Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that a 22-year-old man lost his life in a fatal wreck that happened at the U.S. 41 and Ohio Street junction Monday. 

WFLA revealed the deadly collision happened when the 22-year-old man, operating a Chevrolet pickup truck, did not stop for a stopped school bus. Three pickup trucks were waiting for children to get off the bus, and because the 22-year-old man did not slow down, he collided with one pickup truck, which resulted in a domino effect collision. 

The 22-year-old man, only identified as a Ruskin resident, succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene after his truck overturned.

SEFFNER, FL – Three people were hospitalized, and one person succumbed to fatal injuries after their vehicle crashed into a tree on Sligh Avenue Monday. 

There has been no update on the current conditions of the people, nor have Hillsborough County deputies released the name of the person who passed away, according to WFLA

GIBSONTON, FL – Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that one life was claimed in a collision at the U.S. 41 and Ohio Street junction Monday. 

Troopers were made aware of the crash at 3:46 p.m. and arrived at the scene at 4:13 p.m. They are investigating the details and have not indicated what led to this wreck or released the name of the person who passed away.

SARASOTA, FL – A Mercedes driver was arrested after he was responsible for fatally striking a cyclist and then leaving the scene near the John Ringling Causeway Friday night. 

Sarasota Police told My Sun Coast that the suspect was identified as Timothy Bixler. Police said they pulled him over when they noticed his vehicle consistent with damage sustained in a reported hit-and-run crash near the scene. They said he was not wearing a right sock or shoe, which was later found at the site. 

Police conducted a breath test on Bixler, “but not a blood test.” Bixler will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in another person’s death.

TAMPA, FL – An SUV driver sustained serious injuries after causing a six-vehicle collision while trying to pass a shoulder on Dale Mabry Highway around 8 a.m. Monday. 

This happened at the I-275 interchange, and the impact resulted in the SUV catching on fire, FOX 13 News reported. 

No other information is available this time.

Troopers are just arriving at the scene and have not included any other information at this time.

SARASOTA, FL – Sarasota Police were on the scene of a collision on the 100th block of Washington Boulevard north of Payne Park Friday. 

Police arrived at the site before 4 p.m. No closures were reported, and they have not yet said how many vehicles and people were involved, indicated any injuries, or said what brought about this collision.

TAMPA, FL – A collision on the 2317th block of East Fletcher Avenue in the University neighborhood left at least one person injured Friday. 

Hillsborough County deputies arrived at the scene after 6 p.m. and have not said if the injuries were minor or major, listed the contributing factors, or the number of people and vehicles available.

Hillsborough and Charlotte counties have been given individual assistance approval by FEMA, according to the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Renters and homeowners who have suffered losses may apply for financial aid, short-term housing, basic home repairs, and other disaster-related expenses.

A disaster recovery center is being established by the Hillsborough County and the Florida Division of Emergency Management to help locals whose property was damaged.
