NORTH TAMPA, FL – A motorcyclist passed away after colliding with a pickup truck on the 2200 block of East Fowler Avenue in North Tampa Monday. 

Despite conducted life-saving measures, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, WTSP reported. First responders said the pickup truck driver was hospitalized for minor injuries. 

No other information is available.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that at least one person sustained injuries in a crash at East Lake Road South and Tampa Road Monday. 

Troopers were dispatched to the scene after 7:15 p.m. and arrived at the scene after 7:30 p.m. No lanes are blocked. 

Officials are gathering information about this collision and have not yet released additional details.

PLANT CITY, FL – Three adults and three children suffered fatal injuries, and a 23-year-old man is in critical condition after a crash between an SUV and a train before 7 p.m. Saturday. 

CBS News said the driver of the Cadillac Escalade did not yield to a posted train sign near Highway 92 and Jim Lefler Circle. A conductor signaled he was approaching with loud horns and flashing lights. However, despite best efforts, his train collided with the Cadillac. The force of the collision caused the vehicle to be thrown and overturned and also ejected five people. 

The impact of the crash left the driver and front passenger trapped. The motorist was identified as 52-year-old Jose G. Hernandez.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in northwest St. Petersburg on Saturday evening.

According to WFTS, a Harley-Davidson was southbound on 49th Street North at about 7 p.m. when a red Volkswagen sedan heading north turned left onto Ninth Avenue North, into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then slammed into the front passenger side of the sedan.

The motorcyclist, later identified as 59-year-old Keith Thibodaux, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Volkswagen’s driver was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

BRADENTON, FL – Florida Highway Patrol was called to a collision at the 21st Avenue West and 43rd Street junction Friday evening. 

Troopers reported no lane closures and have not shared the exact cause of this crash, said if anyone was hurt, and indicated the number of people and vehicles involved.

TAMPA, FL – The right lanes on I-275 South are blocked due to a crash that happened near Sligh Avenue 2 around 6 p.m. Friday, FL511 Tampa Bay reported. 

It is not immediately clear what the exact cause of this crash was, how many people and vehicles were involved, if anyone was hurt, and when the scene will clear.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A motorcyclist’s life was claimed when traveled at a high rate and ear-ended a Hyundai Sonata around 8 p.m. Thursday.

WFLA revealed that the collision happened at the 34th Street North and 34th Avenue North junction. St. Petersburg Police said that the motorcyclist — an unidentified 25-year-old man — hit the right side of the car after the Hyundai driver crossed five lanes of traffic. 

First responders took the driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the motorcyclist succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.

LARGO, FL – Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to a reported hit-and-run collision at the Ulmerton Road and 66th Street junction at 7:53 p.m. Thursday. 

Troopers arrived at the scene a short time later at 7:57 p.m. 

The exact cause of this crash was not revealed. It is unclear if anyone was injured, how many people and automobiles were involved, or what the suspect and their vehicle looked like.

TAMPA, FL – A passenger of a 2006 Scion TC lost his life when his driver ran a red light at the East Columbus Drive and I-4 West junction and collided with a dump truck Wednesday. 

WFLA said this collision took place before 2:30 a.m. The front seat passenger — a 25-year-old man — was transported to a hospital, where he later died. The Scion driver and two other occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Scion driver (whose name was not released) was suspected of impairment and awaits DUI manslaughter charges.

TAMPA, FL – A multi-vehicle collision on I-75 South near State Road 60 Wednesday resulted in seven people sustaining injuries. 

ABC Action News said the collision was brought on when a driver of a white Toyota swerved off I-75 and crashed into a painted divider along U.S. Highway 301. 

The Toyota driver struck a crash cushion, rotated clockwise, and went back onto I-75. A driver operating an Amazon semi-truck swerved to avoid colliding with the Toyota. However, the attempt was unsuccessful, and the big rig driver rear-ended the Toyota.
