BRANDON, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office revealed that at least one person suffered injuries in a collision in Brandon Thursday. 

Deputies arrived at East Adamo Drive and Ware Boulevard before 6 p.m. They have not indicated the sequence of events that led to this crash, specified the severity of sustained wounds, or mentioned the number and kind of individuals and vehicles involved in this crash.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A 68-year-old woman lost her life when she struck another vehicle and crashed into a concrete barrier wall, leading her car to catch fire Sunday. 

This collision happened when the driver attempted to switch lanes on State Road 400 West and unintentionally struck the other vehicle; as a result, WFLA confirmed. 

The other motorist was unscathed, and the woman (whose identity has not been released) succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.

GIBSONTON, FL – At least one person sustained injuries in a collision south of the Doyle E. Carlton Bridge, reported Tuesday evening. 

Hillsborough County deputies were summoned to the scene — the southbound U.S. Highway 41 and Lula Street junction — just before 7:30 p.m. 

The exact details leading up to this crash are under wraps. Officials have also not described the kind of occupants and vehicles involved.

RIVERVIEW, FL – Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that at least one person sustained unspecified injuries in a crash at U.S. 301 and Gibsonton Drive Friday. 

Troopers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 4:32 p.m. and arrived at the scene around 4:40 p.m.

BRANDON, FL – Two Hillsborough County deputies were sent to the hospital after they were intentionally struck by a driver Thursday.  

FOX 13 News said the officials were run over while responding to a mental health crisis call. Footage showed Deputy Manuel Santos and Corporal Carlos Brito attempting to get out of the way. Their attempt was unsuccessful, and both were pinned inside or under the vehicle. 

Other first responders left the crash site (which was unspecified) and transported the deputies to Tampa General Hospital. Brito may have to get his leg amputated, and Santos will have to have surgery for a serious leg injury.

SEFFNER, FL – A pedestrian lost their life after they were hit by a train on the railroad tracks along South Parsons Avenue near Claire Drive Thursday. 

Hillsborough County deputies shut down this area for investigation and have not yet released the name of the pedestrian at this time, according to a WTSP report. 

No further information has been disclosed.

DOVER, FL – Florida Highway Patrol was summoned to a reported vehicle on I-4 West at mile marker 14 north of the Tampa East RV Community before 7 p.m. Wednesday. 

Troopers gave no mention of whether this fire posed any risk to the drivers and community, only indicating signs of smoke. 

There has been no update regarding if the fire was caused by an automobile malfunction or due to a crash. Troopers also have not said how long it took fire crews to extinguish the flames.

This collision happened on the 5200 block of I-275 North, and deputies arrived at the scene before 6:15 p.m.

THONOTOSASSA, FL – A 34-year-old man was traveling at a high rate, leading him to crash his Honda Civic into two sign supports, the car spitting in half, and resulting in his death. 

This collision occurred on the I-75 North off-ramp (just before U.S. 301) before 8 p.m. Sunday, according to WTSP

First responders rushed the man and the two passengers with him to area hospitals. Later, at the medical facility, the man succumbed to fatal injuries.
