THONOTOSASSA, FL – A 34-year-old man was traveling at a high rate, leading him to crash his Honda Civic into two sign supports, the car spitting in half, and resulting in his death. 

This collision occurred on the I-75 North off-ramp (just before U.S. 301) before 8 p.m. Sunday, according to WTSP

First responders rushed the man and the two passengers with him to area hospitals. Later, at the medical facility, the man succumbed to fatal injuries.

WIMAUMA, FL – Three men were hurt, and a Dodge Charger driver lost his life when he crashed into a pickup truck after declining to stop at a stop sign Saturday. 

ABC Action News said the Dodge Charger motorist — a 30-year-old man — drove north on 7th Street when he crashed into the eastbound Ford F-150 pickup truck. 

The 30-year-old man was ejected from his car, and both vehicles rotated and came to rest on the shoulder.

RIVERVIEW, FL – A 50-year-old man died after his Toyota SUV was struck by a Land Rover SUV motorist who failed to negotiate a curve on an I-75 off-ramp Thursday. 

This collision took place around 11:40 a.m., just before State Road 60, according to ABC Action News. The impact of the crash led the Toyota SUV to overturn, which ejected the 50-year-old man. Both vehicles made their way into a grassy shoulder before coming to rest in the northbound lanes on the highway. 

First responders rushed the man to a hospital, where he later died. The Land Rover driver, a 56-year-old woman, was unharmed.

RUSKIN, FL – A 59-year-old man died after he lost control of his truck and crashed into a ditch off U.S. 41, leading his vehicle to roll over several times Saturday. 

This single-vehicle collision took place near Valroy Road, according to ABC Action News. The Ruskin man was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not immediately clear what led him to lose control of his vehicle. 

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the specifics of this crash and did not disclose any other information at this time.

WIMAUMA, FL – Five people lost their lives after a Toyota Tacoma driver had traveled west on SR-674, leading to a head-on with two vehicles on Sunday. 

It is not immediately clear why the 29-year-old man (the driver of the Toyota Tacoma) had gone into the opposite lanes, WTSP said. A Chevy Silverado pickup truck was struck first. Then, a Chevy S-10 driver behind the Silverado struck debris from the initial crash and crashed into a ditch after trying to avoid the collision. 

The Chevy S-10 driver and one passenger from the Silverado truck were unharmed, while a 40-year-old occupant from the Silverado was seriously hurt.
