HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A man lost his life after he was struck by a person operating a large, red-colored commercial vehicle Sunday. 

This crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on I-75 North near milepost 247, according to ABC Action News. First responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Florida Highway Patrol has only identified the man as a Lakeland resident. 

Troopers have not yet said if the motorist will face citations or charges.

LITHIA, FL – A Florida Highway Patrol sustained injuries after he crashed his car into a ditch and tree while pursuing a speeding driver Friday. 

The events of the collision first unfolded before 5:30 p.m. near Balm Boyette Road and Boyette Road, WTSP revealed. The speeding driver, operating a Volkswagen Jetta, ignored the trooper’s signal to pull over and kept driving. 

When the trooper and motorist reached Hobson Simmons Road, that’s when the trooper crashed into the ditch and tree and then lost track of the Volkswagen driver.

PLANT CITY, FL – A 23-year-old man from Michigan lost his life after he was hit by a Ford Edge driver on FL 39 Sunday. 

WFLA said this collision happened before 9 p.m. Florida Highway Patrol declared the Michigan resident dead at the scene. 

Troopers revealed the driver, a 64-year-old man from Virginia, remained at the scene. They said the pedestrian entered the driver’s path. So, it is not immediately clear if citations or charges will be brought.

SEFFNER, FL – At least one person sustained injuries in a collision on the I-4 East at mile marker 9 Tuesday, Florida Highway Patrol revealed. 

Troopers were summoned to the scene at 4:22 p.m. and arrived at the crash site at approximately 3:02 p.m.
