SARASOTA, FL – A 58-year-old man was impaired when he crashed his pickup truck into a home near Phillippi Creek Levee Trail Sunday. 

This collision happened at the Bahia Vista Street and South Conrad Avenue junction, and officials were dispatched to the scene around 7:30 a.m., according to My Sun Coast News

ENGLEWOOD, FL – A man from Englewood is facing manslaughter charges in connection to a crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Englewood on Thursday evening.

According to a report by ABC News, an SUV was attempting to make the left turn from Indiana Avenue onto 1st Avenue shortly before 7 a.m. when it collided with the southbound motorcyclist.

The rider, a 19-year-old man from Englewood, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. His identity is being withheld pending further investigation.

SARASOTA, FL – A pedestrian’s life was claimed when they were struck by a pickup truck driver suspected of impairment on State Road 72 around 7 p.m. Tuesday. 

The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was declared dead at the scene, FOX 13 News reported. Authorities arrested the driver — 59-year-old Douglas Cisler — for driving under the influence.
