ST. PETERSBURG, FL – When a driver of a Ford F-150 turned left, he collided with a Ford Mustang, leading his pickup truck to roll over, claiming his passenger’s life Monday. 

According to FOX 13 News, this crash happened before 10 a.m. when the Ford F-150 driver, a 43-year-old man, turned to turn left into the Raceway gas station parking lot on Gandy Boulevard and crashed into the Mustang. 

The impact led the Ford F-150 passenger, a 58-year-old man from St. Petersburg, to succumb to fatal wounds, while both drivers were able to walk away from the collision unscathed.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A man kite-surfing lost control of his board due to windy conditions, leading him to crash into a pier and sustaining life-threatening injuries Friday. 

St. Petersburg fire crews arrived at the scene around 11:15 a.m., according to WTSP. The 38-year-old man, who was not identified, is recovering at Orlando Health Bayfront.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 15-year-old boy was operating a 18-foot boat Sunday when it crashed into a dock and fatally injured his passenger, another 15-year-old boy.

This incident happened around 4:30 p.m. in the area of Bayshore Boulevard Northeast and Connecticut Avenue Northeast, according to MySunCoast

Emergency crews were able to rescue the 15-year-old boat operator while his 15-year-old passenger was pulled from the water by a good Samaritan and a St. Petersburg police officer.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – St. Petersburg Police found and arrested the suspect believed to be responsible for intentionally hitting his brother with a car, which resulted in his death.

According to ABC Action News, the arrest happened in the 1900 block of Third Avenue North on Thursday, Feb. 29. To recap, the actual crash occurred before 3 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at the 7th Avenue South and 12th Street South junction, along Campbell Park. 

Police said the suspect — 34-year-old Tyree Gland — purposefully struck his brother, 35-year-old Taiwan Gland, two times with his vehicle before driving away.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – On Wednesday, police confirmed that it was a 34-year-old who intentionally ran his brother over along Campbell Park, leading him to die from his wounds.

To recap, this crash occurred before 2:45 a.m. Monday at the 7th Avenue South and 12th Street South junction. ABC Action News said the suspect’s name is Tyree Gland, and the victim who passed away was 35-year-old Taiwan James Gland. St. Petersburg police said Tyree ran over Taiwan twice before Taiwan succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene. 

Tyree has yet to be found and was last seen driving away in a dark blue 2018 Cadillac ATS with the license plate number AT21AH. The passenger with Tyree at the time of the collision has been identified as 32-year-old Sebastian Williams, who is being “charged and arrested accessory after the fact to 1st-degree murder.” He was arrested Wednesday.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A pedestrian and two occupants from vehicles suffered serious wounds in a multi-vehicle crash in the United Central area reported around 10 a.m. Thursday. 

This wreck happened at 34th Street North and Central Avenue South, according to WSVN

St. Petersburg Police shut down the area to start their investigation and for the scene clearance process. Police have not provided additional information at this time, including an official update on what led to this incident.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 21-year-old man died on Monday after he fell out of a stolen gray Jeep Cherokee in the Melrose-Mercy neighborhood before 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10th. 

ABC Action News said the 21-year-old man, who has been identified as Vincent Green, leaped onto the Jeep but then fell as the driver — 22-year-old Ke’Andrae Davis — sped off on 20th Street South. 

Davis lost control of the Jeep, causing it to overturn. He fled the scene and was later apprehended by the St. Petersburg Police Department on Wednesday, Feb. 14th. He will face vehicular homicide charges, police confirmed.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A man in his 60s was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle in the United Central district Tuesday, leading him to die from his injuries. 

This collision happened after 6 a.m. at the 5th Avenue North and 49th Street North intersection, according to FOX 13 News

First responders took the cyclist to a hospital, where he died.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A northbound lane at the 62nd Avenue and Haines Road junction is blocked due to a crash that resulted in some sustained injuries Friday evening. 

Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the scene before 5:30 p.m. They started an investigation but have not confirmed the events that led to this collision, specified the severity of wounds sustained, or indicated the kind of people and vehicles involved.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A man, believed to be in his 60s or 70s, has passed away after being hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle Wednesday.

This crash happened before 7:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of 76th Place North, according to WFLA. The driver remained at the scene. It is unclear if charges or citations will be pursued.
