ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A driver cut off a 37-year-old woman on I-275, leading her vehicle to roll over and her suffering serious wounds Monday. 

FOX 13 News said the woman, who operated a Mazda 6, steered left to avoid striking the driver, who cut her off. Her attempt did not work, and she hit a traffic barrier, resulting in her car overturning several times. 

The woman was taken to an area hospital. Her current condition is unknown, and no pending charges were mentioned at this time.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in northwest St. Petersburg on Saturday evening.

According to WFTS, a Harley-Davidson was southbound on 49th Street North at about 7 p.m. when a red Volkswagen sedan heading north turned left onto Ninth Avenue North, into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then slammed into the front passenger side of the sedan.

The motorcyclist, later identified as 59-year-old Keith Thibodaux, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Volkswagen’s driver was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A motorcyclist’s life was claimed when traveled at a high rate and ear-ended a Hyundai Sonata around 8 p.m. Thursday.

WFLA revealed that the collision happened at the 34th Street North and 34th Avenue North junction. St. Petersburg Police said that the motorcyclist — an unidentified 25-year-old man — hit the right side of the car after the Hyundai driver crossed five lanes of traffic. 

First responders took the driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the motorcyclist succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a hit-and-run collision that took place on I-275 North at mile marker 32 before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Troopers arrived at the scene just before 5:30 p.m. Officials have not yet indicated the specifics of the crash, indicating the number of occupants and people involved, if any injuries were sustained, or have released information on the suspect and their vehicle.

Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the scene before 5 p.m.
