RIVERVIEW, FL – Hillsborough County deputies confirmed that at least one person sustained injuries in a motor vehicle collision in the Sterling Ranch district Friday. 

Deputies arrived at the crash site — the Bloomingdale Avenue and Providence Road intersection — before 5 p.m. It is uncertain if the sustained injuries were minor or major.

TAMPA, FL – Hillsborough County deputies indicated that at least one person suffered injuries in a crash in the Palm River-Clair Mel district Thursday. 

Deputies said the collision took place at the Causeway Boulevard and South 47th Street junction.

LAND O’LAKES, FL – A van rolled over and landed on its side, and a truck crashed into a tree line after both vehicles collided on State Road 52 Wednesday. 

This collision took place along Ehren Cutoff, WFLA reported. Pasco fire rescue crews and other officials shut down all directions so that they could clear the scene. As No other information was reported, including what caused this collision and if anyone sustained injuries.

TAMPA, FL – A 35-year-old man was hospitalized for serious injuries after he was stabbed by a man following a three-vehicle collision on Howard Franklin Bridge Tuesday. 

WFLA said for reasons unclear, the 35-year-old man stopped his car in the middle of the bridge and was slumped over. Two vehicle occupants — a 43-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man — tried to help the slumped-over man. The 40-year-old man went to go retrieve something with the hope that it would help the drowsy man. 

When the 35-year-old man woke up, he crashed into the vehicle operated by the 40-year-old man before striking another motorist attempting to pass by the crash.

TAMPA, FL – Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash that was reported on southbound I-75 at mile marker 269 Tuesday evening. 

Troopers have not revealed the contributing factors of this collision or information on the suspect and their vehicle. 

No injuries were reported.

NORTH TAMPA, FL – A motorcyclist passed away after colliding with a pickup truck on the 2200 block of East Fowler Avenue in North Tampa Monday. 

Despite conducted life-saving measures, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, WTSP reported. First responders said the pickup truck driver was hospitalized for minor injuries. 

No other information is available.

TAMPA, FL – A passenger of a 2006 Scion TC lost his life when his driver ran a red light at the East Columbus Drive and I-4 West junction and collided with a dump truck Wednesday. 

WFLA said this collision took place before 2:30 a.m. The front seat passenger — a 25-year-old man — was transported to a hospital, where he later died. The Scion driver and two other occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Scion driver (whose name was not released) was suspected of impairment and awaits DUI manslaughter charges.

TAMPA, FL – A multi-vehicle collision on I-75 South near State Road 60 Wednesday resulted in seven people sustaining injuries. 

ABC Action News said the collision was brought on when a driver of a white Toyota swerved off I-75 and crashed into a painted divider along U.S. Highway 301. 

The Toyota driver struck a crash cushion, rotated clockwise, and went back onto I-75. A driver operating an Amazon semi-truck swerved to avoid colliding with the Toyota. However, the attempt was unsuccessful, and the big rig driver rear-ended the Toyota.

TAMPA, FL – Florida Highway Patrol was called to a reported crash at I-275 North at mile marker 44 before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

Troopers arrived at the scene after 7 p.m. and did not report any injuries. At this time it is not immediately clear what caused this crash.

TAMPA, FL – One life was claimed, and another was seriously injured in a solo-vehicle collision at the FL 618 and U.S. 301 junction before 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. 

WFLA said the collision happened when the driver — a 71-year-old man from Brandon — traveled west and, lost control of his car and crashed into a traffic reflector and traffic signal support. He succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene, and the female passenger with him, also 71 and from Brandon, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
