TAMPA, FL – Two troopers and their K-9s were hospitalized for their injuries after a rear-end crash on northbound I-75 before 4 p.m. last Wednesday. 

Tampa Beacon said Florida Highway Patrol was trying to stop a driver on I-4 near Thonotosassa Road. The driver fled the scene on I-4 West and then went onto I-75 North and then on a grassy median. 

One of the troopers – who drove a Chevy Tahoe – tried to reduce his or her speed but then hit the back of another K-9 unit – a Ford Explorer. 

TAMPA, FL – One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries after getting hit by a driver who ran a red light, suspected of impairment, in South Tampa Saturday. 

WTSP said this collision occurred at the North Dale Mabry and West Kennedy Boulevard junction in the morning. The driver suspected of DUI was identified as Arlandal Davis, also known as “Orlando,” a well-known talk show host for Wild 94.1. 

Davis was “charged with one count of DUI with property damage or physical injury.” He was arrested but has bonded out. 

TAMPA, FL – The Hillsborough County deputies said at least one was injured in a hit-and-run collision that happened in the Keystone Manors neighborhood Friday. 

Deputies were dispatched to the scene –  the South Mobley Road and Gunn Highway intersection – around 3:40 p.m.

PLANT CITY, FL – A collision on the 900 block of East Knights Griffin Road injured at least one person Thursday evening. 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received word about this motor vehicle accident before 5:30 p.m. They are investigating the details of this crash and have not provided additional information.

TAMPA, FL – A three-vehicle collision on I-75, which included one Florida Highway Patrol car, resulted in officials blocking off the interstate’s north and southbound directions Wednesday. 

This crash happened near Fletcher Avenue. Troopers have not revealed the exact details of this crash, but they said that the force of the collision caused one car to overturn, as indicated in a report from WTSP. 

It is unclear what the contributing factors of this wreck were and if injuries were sustained.

TAMPA, FL – One man was killed and another was rushed to the hospital following a wrong-way crash in east Tampa on Friday morning.

According to WFLA, the crash occurred when a vehicle entered the I-75 exit ramp at SR-574 traveling the wrong direction and slammed head-on into a van.

The wrong-way driver, a 36-year-old Tampa man, was extricated from his burning vehicle and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later.

PLANT CITY, FL – At least one person was injured in a collision that occurred near Plant City before 3:45 p.m. Thursday. 

This crash occurred at the intersection of West U.S. Highway 92 and North Turkey Creek Road, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. 

Deputies have not indicated how many vehicles and occupants were involved, said how many people were hurt, or specified what led to this collision.
